# How I Make Videos With AI

> A free guide by Joe Hu, who never trained as an editor: five steps to make videos from your own files by telling a coding assistant (Claude Code or Codex) what you want. The assistant writes the video as code with Remotion and renders every draft; you watch and give notes. The kit is open source.

The guide is written for people who have never edited video. It shows real drafts and notes from Joe's own films, the five steps, every prompt, and a Skill that teaches an assistant the whole method.
