Language is for communication, not perfection.

Life update: I registered my first company, JUST JOE TECHNOLOGIES INC., last month and built the best product I've ever built. And today I'm sharing it publicly for the first time.

My last Silicon Valley trip taught me to build something that belongs to yourself. And the idea of a "one-person company" has been lingering in my mind. What a chance, during that trip, one of my GPTs I built almost 2 years ago went viral. While I built a standalone product during AGI Ventures Canada's hackathon last year, it couldn't become a real product.

Since I'm in the Technology Innovation Management (TIM) at Carleton University program and needed a real-world project, I considered turning it into a real product. Honestly, all I wanted was a prototype. My project folder is still literally named /Prototype. Mid-November 2025, I started building with free Claude Code credits from Anthropic. This let me feel the joy of building like playing World of Warcraft in my teenage years. When Opus 4.5 launched, everything changed. I realized I could actually ship this.

Then, I joined Canada's first Hacker House and built with incredible high-agency talents, 3x more productive than previous months. The company name came from there too. At the demo show, I raised a naming question and repeated what Hai Nghiem suggested. I thought it wouldn't work. I said, "Just Joe is not enough." In that moment, I realized I had found the name. 😁

It's an incredible era!!! What I did in the past 80 days equals a 5-7 person team's work for 6-12 months, which equals at least $1M in funding. This is what AGI means: when you've searched everywhere and nothing solves your specific problem, you can just build it yourself. I strongly believe we will see more and more cases like me.

In summary: I built this whole product in less than 80 days by myself. But this is something I couldn't imagine one year ago.

Thanks to AGI Ventures Canada, Anthropic, and all others. Building a product is becoming easier, but how to distribute it to users in an organic way is still the top challenge. It's just a start. Let's figure it out together.
