Finished my first Bay Area trip. Here are my key reflections:

Firstly, I wish I'd come sooner. There's something irreplaceable about being physically present; you can only truly grasp the energy and unique vibe when you're actually there. The real magic isn't just the place itself, but the people who bring it to life. If I'd arrived ten years ago, perhaps my life trajectory might have been different. But it's never too late—I now carry a different perspective and a mindset.

My biggest takeaway wasn’t YC’s AI Startup School or the events (or even the people I met). It’s this: Build something. The true value is in showing your work, not just stating your title. It's what you ship that truly represents who you are.

The Bay Area's vibe is unique—the epicenter of tech, buzzing with high-agency talent. But it’s also a bubble. Living outside it is an advantage: We’re closer to the real world, where distribution matters and real people experience tech’s impact.

(Side note: I loved seeing AI folks lean into Twitter/X over LinkedIn!)

Lastly, the weather was incredible (though I found myself wearing a down jacket over a short-sleeve shirt!). Those sunny days do wonders for the mind and spirit.

Above all, maintaining health and joy, doing what genuinely excites you, matters most.

I'm excited to return next time with something I'm genuinely proud to showcase.

Time to build and ship. 🚀
